Located almost directly on the other side of the world, you can get to Nepal by flying east through Europe and India, or by flying west through Thailand. Transportation:

Adoption-related travel in Nepal is easy because the hotels, the U.S. Embassy, and the orphanage are all located within Kathmandu. Families will do all of their in-country travel by bus or taxi. Transportation is readily available for shopping and sightseeing.
