In-Country Travel Coordinators:

While in Kazakhstan, your representative will assist you in coordinating your itinerary. There may be time to visit various Kazakh sites in between your visits to the child's orphanage. AAI encourages sightseeing as a very important way for adoptive parents to learn about the country and culture of their child's birth.

Transportation:

Most families will travel into Almaty, a picturesque Kazakh city framed by powerful mountains. If your child's orphanage is located in a different region, the regional coordinator will have made arrangements to secure travel there by airplane. You will have access to drivers and/or translators when needed, and your coordinator will ensure that you are on time for all of your necessary appointments.
